Pound Ridge Police Report June 10-16

Tuesday, June 10

12:44 a.m. — A female, age and condition unknown, was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps. 

6:30 am. — A complaint regarding a loose dog on Barnegat Road brought police to the area. They said the dog was gone prior to their arrival.  

8:43 a.m. — Police responded to a location on Mallard Lake Road for a person locked out of their vehicle. An officer was able to gain entry to the car without damaging it. 

2:05 p.m. — A one-car crash was reported on Highview Road. The car was towed from the scene. The operator refused further medical attention after being evaluated by PRVAC medics. 

6:44 p.m. — A male, age and condition unknown, was taken by Pound Ridge ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital.  

7:20 p.m. — A tree reported blocking the roadway on Salem Road was observed by an officer on patrol. The highway department was notified to remove it.  


Wednesday, June 11

8:15 am. — A vehicle hit a deer on Salem Road. There were no injuries and no tow was needed. 

1:10 p.m. — A tractor trailer was reported blocking traffic on Long Ridge Road. The road was clear by the time police arrived.  


Thursday, June 12

2:45 p.m. — Police responding to a lock-out situation on Westchester Avenue discovered the door was open when they arrived and their help wasn’t needed.  

3:20 p.m. — Police looked for a dog reported loose on Clearwater Lane. They couldn’t find the dog.

6:15 p.m. — A caller on Threshing Rock Road reported a suspicious black SUV in the area. Police couldn’t locate it.  

10:00 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was picked up by radar doing 50 mph in a marked 30-mph zone. They received a summons.  


Friday, June 13

2:05 p.m. — An order of protection was issued to a resident on Westchester Avenue. No further information was provided.  


Saturday, June 14

7:30 a.m. — A small beagle reported loose on Old Church Lane ran off into the woods when it saw the police officer. The reporting party was told to call the police again if they saw the dog.  

10:20 a.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was issued a speeding ticket for traveling 64 mph in a 30-mph zone.  

3:42 p.m. — A wallet turned in to police after being found on Salem Road was returned to its owner. 

5:15 p.m. — A male, age and condition unknown, was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by PRVAC. Police said a medic traveled with him in the ambulance.  

8:30 p.m. — Police assisted a person locked out of their car on Westchester Avenue. Entry was gained. 

7:00 p.m. — Police responded to a domestic incident on Highview Road. No further information was provided.  


Sunday, June 15

11:10 a.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was issued a summons for not having an up-to-date inspection certificate.  


Monday, June 16

9:50 a.m. — A Clinton Corners man was arrested on Westchester Avenue after police observed him traveling 52 mph in a 30-mph zone. During the traffic stop, it became apparent the man was driving with a suspended registration. His car was towed from the scene and he was issued a ticket to appear in court July 7.
