Police Reports March 2-8, 2026

Bedford

Monday, March 2

3:31 p.m. — Kids were reported throwing snowballs off the Interstate 684 overpass in Bedford Hills. The reporting party said they were not aiming at cars but at the highway itself. Police looked for them but they’d left the area.  

Tuesday, March 3

2:56 a.m . — Police went to a home in Katonah for a domestic incident between a divorcing couple. The reporting party who resides in the house called the police to say someone was breaking in after being awakened by the sound of breaking glass. The intruder was the spouse, possibly intoxicated, who arrived unannounced after returning from a late flight. The reporting party said they conversed and that turned into an argument that included nonviolent threats. Two children were in the home sleeping. The spouse eventually left. A New York state domestic incident report was completed. Police were unable to speak to the other party. 

11:02 a.m. — A dental office in Bedford Hills that reported two weeks earlier a woman they trespassed said she was now calling the office seeking a new appointment. The caller asked she be trespassed from the entire building. Police advised that they try blocking her number first and call them if she showed up. 

1:26 p.m. — A local man who drove into a gas pump in Bedford Hills and then immediately drove away was contacted at his home by police. They obtained his license plate information from an employee who retrieved video of the incident from cameras at the service station. Police spoke to his wife who said he did it. While they were talking the man returned home. He said he would drive to the station and make amends.  

6:36 p.m. — A deer reported injured and in the roadway at Bedford Center Road and Harris Road, Bedford Hills, was dead on police arrival. The highway department was notified for removal.  

Wednesday, March 4

5:21 p.m. — A man stuck in the elevator at the Katonah train station was assisted by Katonah firefighters who reset the elevator so the man could get out. 

5:32 p.m. — Police went to a home in Katonah for a report of an opossum stuck in a barbecue grill. An officer freed the animal, which promptly ran off. 

Thursday, March 5

9:58 p.m. — A man, 81, was reported unresponsive at his Bedford home. On police arrival he was in the care of Westchester EMS and conscious. He said he’d fainted. He was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Bedford firefighters.  

11:14 p.m. — Police went to a veterinary care center on Bedford Road, Bedford Hills, after an employee reported a man, 72, from Brooklyn, causing a disturbance. They said he refused to leave after his dog was cared for. Police escorted him to a cab and he left.  

Friday, March 6

11:15 a.m. — A resident of Lily Pond Lane came to headquarters to report the prior day she received a call from someone pretending to be from her bank advising her of an issue she could resolve by making a Zelle payment. She agreed to the action but was unable to complete it; the caller, still on the line, told her she could provide prepaid cash cards which she did. Later that evening she realized she was scammed. She was unable to provide police with the caller’s number. They requested she contact her phone provider to give her that information.

1:55 p.m. — A Fox Lane Middle School student was transported to the Westchester Medical Center by Bedford firefighters after causing self-harm. Police say she is experiencing friendship problems. She was accompanied in the ambulance by a school staff member.  

5:31 p.m. — Police went to a home in Bedford Hills after a mom argued with her daughter’s father about plans for their child’s upcoming birthday. The mom said he yelled, cursed and threw things. She told police she would spend the night with a friend. The man was not on scene. A New York state domestic incident report was completed on her behalf and she was provided with the domestic violence hotline number. 

Saturday, March 7

3:25 p.m. — Another person reported the same opossum in the same location as reported earlier. An officer saw it around the treeline and it seemed fine so no action was taken.

Sunday, March 8 

11:48 a.m. — Two Australian shepherds were reported loose on Succabone Road, Bedford Hills. While police were trying to locate the owner, she contacted headquarters to ask if anyone had seen her dogs. She was directed to them. 

3:21 p.m. — A sick raccoon was humanely dispatched in the vicinity of Greenville Road and North Street, Katonah. The highway department was notified to pick up the remains.  

Lewisboro

Woman told to stop social media contact 

On Monday,  March 2, police went to a home on Stone Meadow Road, South Salem, after a woman said she sent a message to another woman on Instagram in February telling her that her husband was cheating. Shortly after she received a legal cease and desist order.  Police told her to keep away from that woman and her family members, and to not make contact. 

Monday, March 2

12:28 p.m. — A student at John Jay High School came to headquarters with her father to report being harassed by a man who lives in her Cross River neighborhood and offered her a ride home. Police contacted the man who said he lives in her complex and saw she wasn’t wearing a coat. He thought he was doing her a favor offering her a ride. Police advised him not to approach students regardless of their outerwear and low temps. 

Tuesday, March 3

3:54 p.m. — Police went to a home in South Salem after being alerted by a doctor that the resident was experiencing a mental health issue. They were unable to make contact with the concerning party although her front door was open. Attempts to contact the doctor were unsuccessful. Police eventually made contact with the woman who said she was on a new medication for pain and did not want assistance. Lewisboro medics checked her and said she did not require medical attention. 

Wednesday, March 4

6:45 a.m. — A South Salem woman told police her car struck an embankment and then fell into a stream and turned over. Vista EMS took her to Norwalk Hospital for pain to her entire body. 

8:00 a.m. — A South Salem man, 57, was taken by Vista EMS to Norwalk Hospital after slipping on ice at his place of work, injuring his shoulder. 

9:53 a.m. — A South Salem resident was taken by Vista EMS to Norwalk Hospital after slipping on ice in her driveway and hitting her head. 

5:25 p.m. — While patrolling Route 35 in Cross River, police observed a black BMW with a license plate completely covered in black plastic. A traffic stop was initiated. The passenger was the registered owner. Children were in the rear seat. The driver’s license turned out to be revoked and the registration suspended. A summons was issued as well as a date for a court appearance. 

Thursday, March 5

9:01 a.m. — A South Salem woman, 36, was taken by Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Westchester Medical Center for kidney and heart failure. 

2:28 p.m. — Mental health issues were reported at Beekman Lane, Goldens Bridge, after a property manager said there is a woman who insists her water is being poisoned and people are “after” her. Police have had multiple interactions with this woman. The mobile crisis team was contacted. Police said the woman no longer will speak to them. 

7:38 p.m. — A Honda CRV with Connecticut plates was impounded after police stopped it on Route 35 for an issue with the brake lights. The operator produced an Ecuador photo ID and a Connecticut permit but no license. Two occupants were given a courtesy ride to the Goldens Bridge train station. En route they changed their minds and asked to be dropped off at the intersection of routes 35 and 121. 

Friday, March 6

11:00 a.m. — Police went to Four Winds Hospital in Cross River where they were told a patient’s father was unruly and rude to staff. On their arrival the father was speaking to the hospital’s CEO and expressing his frustration. Police escorted him to his vehicle and asked him to wait in his car while his wife spent some time with their son, who is a patient. Because of his behavior, he was advised he was trespassed and his wife could meet him in the Orchard Square Shopping Center.

8:43 p.m. — Police returned to Four Winds Hospital for a report of two patients who left the facility without permission, last seen on Route 35. They were located by police and returned to the hospital. 

Saturday, March 7 

10:10 a.m. — Two cars collided on Route 123 in South Salem; one struck a guardrail and the other was flipped on its side. The operator of that vehicle had to break the windshield to get out of his truck. He was taken to Danbury Hospital by Vista EMS after complaining of pain to his abdomen caused by the seatbelt. The other driver was taken to Stamford Hospital by New Canaan EMS for unknown injuries. Police said one driver had insurance, the other did not. 

11:59 a.m. — A South Salem woman reported fraud after being contacted by their bank about an overdrawn account. The bank said they would close the account and refund her money after she obtained a police report. 

3:50 p.m. — Police went to a home in South Salem for a domestic incident after a woman said her verbal arguments with her husband had escalated to the point where she felt she needed to call the police. They spoke with her spouse who said they’d argued over a paint job. Police suggested the two leave each other alone for the rest of the day. 

Sunday, March 8

2:05 p.m. — Police went to a home in Goldens Bridge for an activated medical alarm. On their arrival the resident said it was a mistake and her child had set off the alarm. 

Mount Kisco

Sunday, March 1

1:10 a.m. — Officers responded to a South Moger Avenue bar on a report of a disorderly patron causing a disturbance. The man was found to be highly intoxicated and EMS was requested. Westchester EMS determined the man needed to be taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

11:46 a.m. — A quality-of-life inspection and foot patrol occurred in and around a Lexington Avenue laundromat, a site where there has been numerous trespass and public drinking offenses. It concluded at 12:10 p.m. All was in order.

1:50 p.m. — Police received a report of a woman passed out behind the movie theater on Main Street. The woman was conscious and alert upon an officer’s arrival. She told the officer she had fallen and hit her head. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded and took the woman to Northern Westchester Hospital.

3:50 p.m. — A 31-year-old Yonkers woman was charged with second-degree criminal contempt following a traffic stop. An officer observed a vehicle with a loud muffler traveling on North Bedford Road and made the stop in Bedford Hills. The woman, who was a passenger in the car, was found to have a court-issued order of protection barring her from having any contact with the man who was driving. She was booked at the Green Street precinct, arraigned in Mount Kisco Justice Court and released pending a return court appearance. A New York state domestic incident report was prepared.

3:56 p.m. — Officers responded to Northern Westchester Hospital on a request to remove the mother of a patient who was causing a disturbance. Officers contacted the Mobile Crisis Response Team by phone to speak with the mother. After the situation was calmed, hospital staff agreed to allow the mother to stay. Officers advised her she would be removed if hospital staff had to call for police assistance again.

Monday, March 2

2:44 a.m. — Officers responded to North Moger Avenue on a report of a disturbance between a landlord and tenant. The dispute was determined to be verbal only. The landlord agreed to refund the tenant some money but demanded he leave the premises immediately. The tenant accepted the offer and an officer gave him a courtesy ride to Hotel MTK to ensure the parties were separated.

2:35 p.m. — A sergeant on patrol on Lexington Avenue observed a man known to him to have active arrest warrants issued by the Mount Kisco Justice Court. The five open warrants were associated with previous arrests and failure to appear to answer charges of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, and two counts each of disorderly conduct and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in public, violations. The man was taken into custody, booked at the Green Street precinct and held for arraignment in village court. He was released on his own recognizance.

3:57 p.m. — A man approached an officer outside Mount Kisco Elementary School to report that he had been evicted by his landlord despite having paid his rent. The man also claimed that he believed cameras had been placed in his bedroom though he had not seen them. After determining that the man had nowhere to stay, the officer contacted the Mobile Crisis Response Team for assistance to find him housing.

4:05 p.m. — Police received a report of an intoxicated male in the Village Hall lobby. Officers and the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded. During the incident, a second man who appeared intoxicated approached the officer, said he wasn’t feeling well and asked to be taken to the hospital. Both men were taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital.

Tuesday, March 3

12:30 a.m. — Police investigated a report of a parked vehicle vandalized behind a business in the 200 block of Main Street. The windshield and several windows were shattered. Its owner said he suspects a person who had previously sent him threatening text messages may have been the vandal. Security video in the area could not be accessed due to the hour. A report was prepared. The matter was turned over to detectives for continued investigation.

9:56 a.m. — Someone complained that three men were in front of a South Moger Avenue business bothering customers. The condition was corrected.

Wednesday, March 4

12:02 p.m. — An officer responded to a two-car crash on the 400 block of East Main Street. One person complained of back pain. EMS was requested to respond. A report was prepared. 

Thursday, March 5

12:13 a.m. — An officer responded to Prospect Street to assist a woman who was disoriented. Westchester EMS transported her to the hospital for evaluation.

1:13 p.m. — A person used the callbox at the Green Street precinct after receiving threats from another person by phone. An officer returned to the precinct to take the report.

6:48 p.m. — An officer responded to Barker Street after a medical professional expressed concern for the mental health of a patient. An officer spoke with the patient and her mother but both parties declined medical attention and refused EMS. After further discussion with the doctor, the patient agreed to go to Hudson Valley Hospital but only if an ambulance was not involved. An officer drove the patient and her mother to Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt to ensure the patient received care.

10:05 p.m. — An officer responded to Diplomat Drive after a woman said a neighbor was banging on her door and throwing garbage. The condition was corrected.

Pound Ridge

Tuesday, March 3

7:30 a.m. — Police responded to a complaint about a loose dog on Woodland Road. It was reunited with its owner prior to police arrival.  

11:15 a.m. — A disabled vehicle was reported on Westchester Avenue; the reporting party said the driver was slumped over the steering wheel. On arrival police spoke to the operator of the car who said they’d pulled over to type an address into their GPS. Police said there was no problem. 

2:05 p.m. — A collision reported on Route 137 resulted in one car being towed and a driver taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by unknown ambulance or private car. 

4:00 p.m. — A woman was taken by Vista ambulance to Stamford Hospital for an unknown complaint. 

Wednesday, March 4

6:28 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on Winterbottom Lane; the operator said they’d slid on the icy roadway into an embankment. The driver requested police assist them in getting their car back on the road. 

10:30 a.m. — Two drivers on Westchester Avenue were issued tickets for their failure to stop at stop signs.  

2:20 p.m. — Police went to a home to assist a man who had fallen out of his chair. He was helped back into it. 

3:02 p.m. — A Hack Green Road resident reported fraud when an unknown man said he worked for the Federal Trade Commission contacted her, following up on a complaint he said was made in 2025 about her business. His contact seemed suspicious so she contacted the police who advised her to contact her bank immediately to update fraud protections on her accounts. She was also advised to delete all suspicious emails and never open them. 

5:23 p.m. — A man, age and condition unknown, was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital.

Thursday, March 5

5:15 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a collision on Westchester Avenue involving two cars. One driver was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by the Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Both vehicles were towed.  

10:00 p.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for failure to obey a traffic signal.  

Friday, March 6

9:15 a.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for lack of a valid inspection sticker.  

11:10 a.m. — A car vs. deer collision reported on Salem Road ended with no humans injured and no vehicle towed. Police were unable to find the deer. 

7:50 p.m. — Three summonses were issued to drivers on Westchester Avenue. Two were for speeding, driving 51 and 55 mph in a 30-mph zone. The third driver was ticketed for obscured license plate, the officer noting it was either very dirty or covered with dirty plastic.  

Saturday, March 7

5:35 p.m. — A driver was ticketed on Westchester Avenue for failure to stop at a stop sign.  

Sunday, March 8

11:18 a.m. — A driver on Salem Road was ticketed for lack of insurance. 

8:25 p.m. — A car reported disabled on Stone Hill Road was stuck in mud on private property; the operator told police they were making their own arrangements to get pulled out.
