POUND RIDGE

Saturday, Dec. 27

6:58 a.m. — A car parked on Westchester Avenue was reported to be keeping a plow operator from doing his work removing snow. The owner of the car was located and he agreed to move his car.  

4:50 p.m. — No traffic violations were observed on Westchester Avenue. 

6:25 p.m. — Police saw no traffic infractions while patrolling Westchester Avenue. 

Sunday, Dec. 28

12:06 a.m. — A woman was taken by the Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Northern Westchester Hospital. No further Information was provided.

8:27 a.m. — A woman was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital. No further Information was provided.

11:20 a.m. — A man reported as suspicious and trespassing at a construction site on Westchester Avenue turned out to have a legitimate reason for being there as he was a bank inspector doing an inspection.  

11:30 a.m. — A man was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital. No further Information was provided.

3:20 p.m. — Police were unable to find a loose dog reported on Eastwoods Road.

4:00 p.m. — A person came to headquarters a day after the event and said their car was struck in a hit-and-run incident while parked on Westchester Avenue. 

Monday, Dec. 29

10:16 a.m. —A disabled vehicle on Long Ridge Road was towed. 

12:52 p.m. — Police went to a residence on Pound Ridge Road after someone called 911 and then hung up. The resident said the call was accidental and there was no problem. 

10:30 p.m. — A collision on Route 137 between a car and a deer resulted in no injuries and no tow. 

Tuesday, Dec. 30

4:30 a.m. — Trees down and fallen wires brought police to Parkview Road, which was blocked. The utility was notified.  

7:27 a.m. — A downed tree temporarily blocked all traffic on Old Logging Road; the highway department was summoned to clear the road.  

3:09 p.m. — A man was taken by ambulance to Stamford Hospital. 

8:00 p.m. — No violations were observed during a radar patrol on Westchester Avenue.  

Wednesday, Dec. 31

10:45 a.m. — A man was taken by ambulance from his home to Northern Westchester Hospital. No further Information was provided.

Thursday, Jan. 1

6:00 a.m. — A domestic incident was reported at a residence on Barnegat Road. Police declined to provide details.  

9:10 a.m. — No traffic violations were observed on Westchester Avenue.  

12:59 p.m. — No violations were observed during a traffic detail on Westchester Avenue.  

12:30 p.m. — No violations were observed during a traffic detail on Westchester Avenue.

10:30 a.m. — A man was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital. No further Information was provided.

BEDFORD

New Jersey man charged with harassment 

On Saturday, Jan. 3, a resident of Clifton, N.J., man, 49, turned himself into police after being accused of harassing and threatening his former spouse, a business owner in Bedford Hills. She told police he’d been sending her emails and calling from an unknown number for several days but she hadn’t responded. He showed up at her business and threatened her; she called the police but he was gone prior to their arrival, police said. Police said he was cooperative when he showed up at headquarters to be charged. He is to appear in court Jan. 14. The woman was issued an order of protection against him. 

Monday, Dec. 29

10:11 a.m. — A Bedford woman sustained a facial injury after, she said, her husband with dementia unintentionally struck her with a candlestick during an argument. She refused medical attention; he was evaluated by a medic who said his blood pressure was elevated. She said he takes medication for that.  She was adamant it was an accident and said she would be following up with his physician about his behavior. A New York state domestic incident report was completed. 

8:23 p.m. — Police went to a home in Bedford Hills after a man requested a welfare check on his estranged spouse. She told police she was emotional because he couldn’t get off work for New Year’s Eve. The mobile crisis team was contacted and said they would meet with her the following day.  

Tuesday, Dec. 30

11:07 a.m. — Oxygen was administered by Bedford firefighters to a woman, 37, who said she fell in her home.  As she was unable to get up, an ambulance was requested. She was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Bedford firefighters. 

6:56 p.m. — An elderly woman who requested help finding her car parked in Katonah was assisted by an officer who located her car on Katonah Avenue. She said she’d been at Peppino’s but forgot where she parked.  

10:43 p.m. — An intoxicated man was uncooperative with the police after he called for help for an arm laceration at his residence in Bedford Hills. He told police he punched a glass object. Due to his attitude and state of intoxication an officer rode with him in the ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital.  

11:48 p.m. — Multiple officers responded to a residence in Bedford Village after a dog walker staying at the home reported finding an unsecured door that had been shut. The house and property were searched and there was nothing suspicious. Police said there was a problem with the door and that it didn’t close properly. 

Wednesday, Dec. 31

7:46 a.m. — Five loose horses were reported in Katonah on Route 22. Police responding saw no horses. 

9:54 a.m. — A Bedford Hills woman, 36, was taken to Westchester Medical Center by Bedford firefighters after falling from a horse in an indoor arena on Guard Hill Road. Police said she complained of pain to her hip.  

1:44 p.m. — A woman came to headquarters to say that her boyfriend in Katonah, who she’s lived with for some time, changed the locks and wouldn’t let her in. She said he told her to leave and not come back. She asked police for assistance collecting her belongings and her dog. A suitable time was arranged with the man. 

Thursday, Jan. 1

4:53 p.m. — A Bedford woman came to headquarters to report she was out $2,000 after making two Zelle transactions to an unknown party who fraudulently represented themselves as fraud investigators from her bank. She became suspicious when she was told not to contact the bank and contacted them anyway at which time she discovered she’d been scammed. A police report was completed for her to give to her bank.

10:40 p.m. — A Bedford Hills man, 37, with a severe finger laceration was taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center. Police said he was highly intoxicated as were other members of the household. The injury was possibly due to an altercation but police said all involved parties were too incoherent to describe what happened.  

Friday, Jan. 2

9:48 a.m. — A resident of Tucson, Arizona, was not injured although her car was towed after she struck a stone wall on Stone Bridge Lane, Bedford Hills. She told police she misjudged where the wall began.

7:25 p.m. — A Katonah woman, 81, refused medical attention after police assisted her from her car into her home after she said she needed help getting out of her car. She also said she’d recently fallen on concrete. EMS was requested but she said she was OK.  

Saturday, Jan. 3

12:06 p.m. — A Bedford Village woman called police to say her husband needed help getting off the floor. He said he had hip pain but would only accept a lift assist.  

7:02 p.m. — A Bedford Village woman, 74, suffered severe lacerations to her head after falling down her stairs. She was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Bedford firefighters. 

Sunday, Jan. 4

1:22 a.m. — Police went to a home in Bedford Hills to mediate a situation between a couple who were ultimately told to stay away from each other for the night. A man said it was her night to watch the kids; he was out with friends and came home to find their older children watching their younger kids. She eventually came home and they argued. A New York state domestic incident report was completed. 

1:26 p.m. — Bedford Police responded to a “Be On The Lookout” for a male in a black 2022 Ford wanted on a bench warrant out of Port Chester. The vehicle was located in a driveway in Bedford Hills and is registered to an Armonk resident. North Castle Police were notified to look for him. Port Chester Police were notified the vehicle was found but not the man.   

4:02 p.m. — A Bedford caller reported a suspicious man in her driveway asking for directions to Stamford, Conn. Police arrived but the man had left. She was told to call back if he returned and still seemed suspicious. 


LEWISBORO

Bicyclist hurt trying to avoid turning car

On Friday, Jan. 2 at 1 p.m., a bicyclist who fell off her bike while turning onto Increase Miller Road while using the correct hand signal indicating she was about to make a left-hand turn told police she swerved to avoid a Tesla that drove up alongside her. The operator said he thought her raised hand was signaling him to pass. She was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Westchester EMS for pain to her hip. 

Monday, Dec. 29

12:44 p.m. — Police went to Four Winds Hospital in Cross River after a nurse reported a child recently released was physically shoved by his parents into their car; the nurse said the child was reluctant to go home. The nurse was unable to provide detailed information to the police as the child had already been cleared from the system. Police said they would contact the police in the parents’ home town and ask them to conduct a welfare check. 

5:50 p.m. — A Cross River resident said they were walking their dog on Briar Court when an unfriendly off-leash dog approached. He said he used his flashlight to fend off the dog and that its unleashed approach was a recurring issue. Police spoke with the woman who claimed her dog was tied on her porch but broke free when it saw the other dog. A report was made for documentation.

Tuesday, Dec. 30

7:55 p.m. — Wires were reported down on Ridgeland Road, South Salem. Vista firefighters were on scene. A power line was on top of a utility pole, resulting in a small fire. The utility was contacted. 

Wednesday, Dec. 31

8:35 a.m. — An abandoned vehicle impeding snow removal operations in the Town House parking lot where it was left during a snow storm was removed by the vehicle’s owner who was contacted by police via his plates and registration to come and get his car. 

11:15 a.m. — The operator of a tractor-trailer idling in the Lewisboro Elementary School parking lot was told to move the trailer onto Captain Lawrence Drive until the lot was ready for him to unload. 

Thursday, Jan. 1

9:11 p.m. — A woman, 75, suffering from complications from the flu, was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps. 

Friday, Jan. 2

8:20 a.m. — Police impounded a white Honda sedan that was observed traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Route 35, Cross River. A stop was initiated and it soon was learned the driver, a non-English speaker (a passenger translated for him) did not have a proper registration. The men said they were working in the area. Tickets were issued to the operator for unlicensed operator; unregistered vehicle; improper right turn; disobeying a traffic device; and no insurance. His passenger was also ticketed for permitting the unlicensed operation. 

9:48 a.m. — A woman at a multi-dwelling complex in Goldens Bridge reported her car stolen. Police responding said there had been no crime and that they were immediately subjected to a tirade by the reporting party who made many accusations about her neighbors. Police said she is known to them. They did not feel she was a danger to herself or others and no further action was taken.  

Saturday, Jan. 2

7:25 a.m. — A South Salem caller reported 10 gunshots coming from the vicinity of Gilbert Street. She said it woke her up. Police canvassed the area but saw no signs of gunshot and no one else reported hearing any noise. 

10:00 a.m. — The hospital in Cross River reported a runaway teen had left the campus. Help was requested. Shortly after, staff called back to say she had returned and no help was needed. 

5:00 p.m. — Police went to a home in South Salem after a son yelled at his mother and then banged on her car. He left the residence prior to police arrival. A New York state domestic incident report was completed for his mother.

 

MOUNT KISCO

Thursday, Jan. 1

11:52 a.m. — Officers responded to Barker Street on a report of a domestic dispute at a residence. The dispute was determined to be verbal in nature only. A New York state domestic incident report was prepared.

2:04 p.m. — Police received a report of a man trespassing at Barnes & Noble on South Moger Avenue. An officer verified that a previous written trespass warning had been issued to the man barring him from the premises. He was issued a summons for trespassing with a return court date of Jan. 29.

5:41 p.m. — Officers responded to a Lexington Avenue laundromat on a report of five men drinking and causing a disturbance there. No alcohol was observed upon the officers’ arrival. Three men were escorted from the premises. Two others were detained because officers knew they had previously received written trespass notices barring them from the premises. A 45-year-old man was issued a summons for trespassing with a return court date of Jan. 29. The second man, 52, refused to leave and created a disturbance. He was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct, a violation. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending an appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court. 

Friday, Jan. 2

10:49 a.m. — An officer was dispatched to the Green Street precinct to meet a person at the callbox reporting a past crime. The complainant alleged he was subject to inappropriate sexual contact while he was intoxicated and sleeping at a village residence in the early morning hours of Jan. 1. A report was prepared and the matter was turned over to a detective for continued investigation.

2:30 p.m. — An officer responded to a report of an intoxicated man in the Shoppers Park parking lot. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded and took him to the hospital for evaluation.

8:30 p.m. — Police received a report of a man needing medical attention at ShopRite on North Bedford Road. An officer and the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded. The man was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital.

Saturday, Jan. 3

9:19 a.m. — Officers responded to a Lexington Avenue laundromat on a report of two men involved in an altercation. Officers detained a man as he tried to leave the premises while the matter was being investigated. After the man became combative, he was placed under arrest for second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a future appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.

11:27 a.m. — A motorist reported that her vehicle was struck by another driver in the 200 block of Main Street. When she pulled over, the other vehicle failed to do so and left the scene. A report was prepared and details were forwarded to the Real Time Crime unit for continued investigation.

12:09 p.m. — A resident reported that his car was damaged, apparently by a hit-and-run driver, while it was parked in the 500 block of Lexington Avenue. An officer attempted to locate security camera video that might have captured the incident but none was located.

5:44 p.m. — A patron at a South Moger Avenue business reported an odor of gas. The odor was determined to be fresh paint.

Sunday, Jan. 4

4:40 a.m. — Officers responded to Pat Reilly Way on a report of a one-car crash with injuries. A driver reported that she fell asleep while making a food delivery and struck a utility pole. The woman and two small children who were in her car were taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center. Child Protective Services was notified. The investigation was turned over to detectives.

12:55 p.m. — Officers responded to a domestic dispute on Lexington Avenue. A woman alleged she was assaulted by another female. The alleged victim, who was intoxicated, gave conflicting accounts of the incident, and the other party to the dispute denied hitting her. Child Protective Services was notified due to the presence of children during the incident and the unkempt conditions observed in the apartment. A New York state domestic incident report was prepared. The case was assigned to detectives for follow up.

6:40 p.m. — A welfare check was requested for a man lying on the ground on Gatto Drive. The man was determined to be intoxicated and EMS was requested. He was taken to a hospital by the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
