LEWISBORO

Monday, April 20

9:45 a.m. — A South Salem woman complaining of chest pain was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Westchester EMS and the Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps. 

Tuesday, April 21

8:37 a.m. — Police went to the parking lot of Cameron’s Deli in Cross River for a report of a man slumped over his steering wheel. The man, who was not experiencing a medical condition and showed no evidence of being intoxicated, told police he was currently living with his mother in New Canaan, Conn., and he was heading there now. Police followed him to Smith Ridge Road. 

1:40 p.m. — A Waccabuc caller complained of excessive speeding and aggressive driving on Chapel Road twice a day, between 7 and 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m., when school buses are picking up or dropping off children at their homes. Drivers also use his driveway as a turnaround. A report was made of his complaint. 

Wednesday, April 22

5:30 p.m. — Police were alerted by a nurse at a group home in Katonah about an incident that required a police report. A resident said she was pushed to the floor by a staff member while she was eating. The resident said she was taken to urgent care in Mount Kisco where a doctor said there was no serious injury although she might be bruised and in pain. A report was made for documentation. 

6:00 p.m. — A South Salem resident told police she was being harassed by a Connecticut man she had a monthlong relationship with four years earlier. When she learned he was married, she broke it off. Now he was parking in her driveway and texting her to say he wants to renew the relationship. She blocked his number and police went to his home at her request to tell him his attention wasn’t wanted. He told the police he was experiencing relationship problems but would stop contacting her.  

Thursday, April 23

7:39 p.m. — A Mount Holly Road, Katonah, resident reported a black bear in their fenced backyard. On police arrival, the bear had departed. 

Friday, April 24

9:00 a.m. — A caller in Waccabuc reported a black bear in the area. Police said it was gone on their arrival. 

3:00 p.m. — A John Jay High School student came to headquarters with his parents to report he was at Cameron’s Deli at 12:30 a.m. nearly a week earlier with his school friends when he had a negative interaction with a Fox Lane High School student and that person’s friends. It escalated and the reporting party was punched in the face. His nose was broken and he went to the hospital. He also suffered a black eye. He provided police with the name of the student who punched him, but said he didn’t want to press charges. Bedford Police were contacted and their school resource officer spoke with the Fox Lane student who said the interaction stemmed from derogatory comments made by the John Jay student about Fox Lane High School as well as personal insults. He was told to avoid all contact with that student or face arrest. 

Saturday, April 25 

1:20 p.m. — A South Salem resident came to headquarters to complain about his neighbor who swears, yells, makes noise and shines a flood light on the complainant’s home. He documented these incidents and said his entire household has been affected. A report was made for documentation. 

Sunday, April 26

3:10 p.m. — A Goldens Bridge woman told police she was upset because her neighbor parks their car in a way that makes it difficult for her to access her mailbox. She said she hoped they would be moving soon. A report was made of her complaint. 

6:10 p.m. — A driver calling from Goldens Bridge reported a deer came out of the woods and hit their vehicle. The car was operable. No further information was provided regarding the deer.


BEDFORD

Reckless drivers 

On Sunday, April 26, at 5:02 p.m., reckless operation of a motorized vehicle was reported when two 8-year-olds were said to be riding e-bikes on Wildwood Road, Katonah. Police looked for them without result. 

Monday, April 20

12:53 p.m. — A bystander flagged down an officer on patrol in the vicinity of Parkway, Katonah, for an infant accidentally locked inside a vehicle. The officer said the door opened when they tried the handle and their assistance was no longer needed.  

10:43 p.m. — A couple in their 20s was reported in Katonah walking on Croton Lake Road near Cherry Street shining flashlights into homes. Police were unable to find them.  

Tuesday, April 21

10:02 a.m. — A Bedford Hills woman reported a check she wrote and deposited in the postal mailbox outside the Bedford Hills post office was washed and cashed twice by an unknown party. She was alerted of the incident by her bank. She said she would be speaking with the postal inspector. 

11:56 a.m. — A business in Bedford Hills reported a dozen checks they wrote and mailed to vendors were intercepted after being dropped in the Bedford Hills post office box. Two of the checks were fraudulently cashed. The actual vendors said they never got their money. A report was made for the victim to provide to their bank.  

12:57 p.m. — A woman involved in a domestic incident on Nightingale Road a week earlier came to headquarters to report that during that incident, her ex-boyfriend damaged walls and bruised her arm grabbing it while she was attempting to pack up to move out. A New York state  domestic incident report was completed on her behalf.  

4:19 p.m. — Police went to a residence on Old Cross River Road, Katonah, for a report of a man sleeping under a tree. They woke him up and he said he was a laborer working on the property and was taking a nap until his ride arrived. 

Wednesday, April 22

3:17 p.m. — Fire was reported coming from a school bus on the property of West Patent Elementary School. The driver told police it was new brakes installed that had yet to be broken in. Bedford Hills firefighters concluded there was no issue or cause for concern. 

8:11 p.m. — A Putnam Valley woman, 49, was arrested on Cross River Road charged with driving while intoxicated. Police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on Route 35; locating the described vehicle they saw two cars. A man told police he helped her jumpstart her car; she told police she didn’t need assistance and drove off. Police following her vehicle observed her turning left from the right turn only lane and erratic driving over the double yellow line. A traffic stop was initiated; she denied she was drinking when asked. A strong smell of alcohol on her breath led to field sobriety tests which she failed and was taken to headquarters where she was issued five summonses and picked up by her husband. While waiting for tow to impound her vehicle, police found empty beer cans inside the car. The woman is to appear in court April 29. 

Thursday, April 23 

8:15 a.m. — A mom came to headquarters to make a report about a man who approached her son, 7, at the playground at the Bedford Memorial Park. She said he walked away and got into a dark sedan when she approached. She asked her son what the man said to him and the child said he asked where to find the restroom. Family members urged her to report the interaction. Police said there was no crime and a report was made for documentation.  

Friday, April 24

4:55 a.m. — A Bedford man, 49, was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Bedford firefighters for chest pain. He said he’d been sick for a week with abdominal and gastric disorder.  

6:54 p.m. — Police responded to the vicinity of the Bedford Hills train station after a caller reported a verbal spat between a young male and two young females. The boy’s mother told police the girls were shouting at her son. The girls were located in a nearby parking lot. They said racial slurs were exchanged by all three parties. Everyone left the scene shortly after.  

Saturday, April 25

2:55 p.m. —  A Bedford man reported his wife was possibly missing; he thought she was visiting a friend in the village and gave police that address. They found her vehicle not there but at an address nearby; she came to the door and said she was fine and would call her husband to say she’d be home shortly. 

10:25 p.m. — A White Plains man, 30, was arrested at headquarters after White Plains Police brought him to the station after he was taken into their custody for an incident in White Plains; a check of his records showed a family court-ordered warrant for his arrest. He was charged with two counts of criminal contempt. Police said that in December 2025, while incarcerated in a facility upstate, he contacted a Bedford Hills woman who had an order of protection. He was processed and released on his own recognizance and scheduled to appear in court April 29. He was given a courtesy ride to the train station and his parole officer was contacted.  

Sunday, April 26

8:44 a.m. — An injured fox reported in Katonah could not be safely dispatched by police. Due to the location, it was unsafe to discharge a weapon. A wildlife specialist was contacted to remove the fox. 

9:27 — The driver of a black Cadillac SUV observed by police in the Bedford Hills train station parking lot for no inspection sticker turned out to have their license suspended three times for failure to answer summonses. They were issued tickets and their car towed to impound.


POUND RIDGE

Tuesday, April 21

11:30 p.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for failing to stop at a stop sign. 

4:00 p.m. — A disabled vehicle reported on Westchester Avenue was not found by police.

4:20 p.m. — A woman was taken from her home to Stamford Hospital by Westchester EMS and the Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps.  


Wednesday, April 22

5:38 a.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was given a ticket for speeding, going 50 mph in a 30-mph zone.  

8:32 a.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was given a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign.  

9:05 a.m. — A one-car crash on Upper Shad Road resulted in no injuries and no tow. 

11:40 a.m. — A pair of loose dogs reported meandering on Scofield Road were returned without incident to their owner. 

8:45 p.m. — A woman was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital. No further information was provided.

Thursday, April 23

1:14 p.m. — No violations were observed during a scheduled traffic enforcement on Westchester Avenue.  

6:34 p.m. — An operator on Westchester Avenue was given a ticket for an outdated inspection sticker.  

Friday, April 24

11:00 a.m. — A dog reported lost on Pound Ridge Road was returned to its owner. 

4:55 p.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was given a summons for failure to stop at a stop sign.  

Saturday, April 25

8:21 a.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for inoperable brake lights.  

10:10 a.m. — A woman was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital.  No further information was provided.

10:17 a.m. — A man was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital.  No further information was provided. 

12:15 p.m. — A larceny was reported on Westchester Avenue. Police did not release details as the incident is under investigation.  

1:21 p.m. — A crash on Route 137 was being investigated by Connecticut police. 

6:18 p.m. — A downed tree was reported blocking Lower Trinity Pass Road. An officer was able to move the fallen limb to open the roadway.

7:58 a.m. — A rock reported obstructing Stone Hill Road was removed by a police officer. 

2:54 p.m. — A drone reported hovering over a residence on Laurel Road was not located by police. 

4:05 p.m. — A car reported disabled on Highview Road was towed.
