11:00 a.m. — Police went to a home in South Salem to speak with an elderly homeowner who rents out an apartment on her property. She has a tenant who is paid up through July and is supposed to move out but she wanted to show the apartment to prospective tenants and is bothering the tenant to move out faster, which resulted in the tenant filing a charge of harassment. Police suggested to the landlord that she wait to show the unit when the tenant moves out.

A dark colored Honda pickup was seen stopping at the house and a man putting the mower in his vehicle. After some investigation, the vehicle was found with the mower. The man said he is the brother of the former owner of the home and was told he could take the mower. Police determined there was no larceny.
