BEDFORD
Monday, Sept. 14
10:05 a.m. — A Bedford man came to headquarters to report fraud following a golf trip he and his wife took to Bandon, Ore. He said all the details of the trip were arranged by a friend who traveled with them; that friend requested the resident provide him with his credit information to keep on file “for incidentals.” The resident was surprised later to discover the friend used his card to pay for his own flight, hotel and other charges. The complainant requested documentation to contest the charges and said he contacted the friend to correct the situation.
Tuesday, Sept. 15
2:24 p.m. — A caller on Croton Lake Road reported a sick coyote and showed police a picture of the animal who appeared ill. Attempts to locate it were unsuccessful.
3:51 p.m. — Two traffic summonses were issued to a commercial vehicle traveling on Cantitoe near Long Meadow Road. The summonses were for not displaying a name and number required by Department of Transportation rules.
11:43 p.m. — An inside odor of smoke was reported at a residence on Old Post Road. Bedford firefighters and Bedford Hills firefighters were on scene and couldn’t determine the source of the odor or any other problem.
Wednesday, Sept. 16
10:27 a.m. — A Hook Road resident came to headquarters to report they’d received a notice from their bank about a check returned for insufficient funds; at the same time it was noticed by the bank that multiple cash withdrawals had been made from the account from a location in Massachusetts. The complainant is working with his bank and their fraud department. A report was made for documentation.
5:20 p.m. — Police went to a residence on Edgemont Road to check on a woman, 85, whose doctor expressed concern about her since a recent fall. The woman was with her aide and spoke coherently with the police. She said she would call her doctor the next day. Police spoke with her physician to relay the exchange.
Thursday, Sept. 17
2:21 p.m. — A Bedford woman, 87, who had stopped taking her medication brought police and Bedford medics to her home after she experienced anxiety and tremors. She ultimately refused both transport and further medical attention.
5:53 p.m. — An oven fire was successfully extinguished by a Bedford homeowner before firefighters arrived. Firefighters on their arrival declared the home safe and clear.
Friday, Sept. 18
10:54 p.m. — A man from Atlanta, Ga., 58, was taken to Westchester Medical Center by Bedford firefighters after being injured in a rollover accident on Old Post Road. Police said the injured party was in the passenger seat when the car, operated by a Pound Ridge man, 55, left the roadway and struck a phone pole before overturning, resulting in lacerations to the passenger’s head and face. The car was towed. The driver was not injured and told police he was speeding on the turns.
Saturday, Sept. 19
11:29 a.m. — A Mount Kisco man, 32, was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital for a mental evaluation after an incident with his girlfriend at her Bedford Hills residence.
4:36 p.m. — A sick raccoon reported on South Church Street, Bedford Hills, was dispatched by a police officer.
Sunday, Sept. 20
5:23 p.m. — Criminal mischief occurred at a commercial property on South Bedford Road, Bedford Hills. An employee of the company told police he saw on a security camera three masked men breaking the door to the mechanical room and entering it. One man noticed they were on camera and the trio fled. Police saw the broken lock on the floor and the damaged door frame. The rest of the building appeared secure. The employee said he would come to the station the next day to report anything missing and make a report.
7:14 p.m. — Police went to a home in Bedford Village after a husband called 911 to say his wife tried to slap him. He told police she is violent when she’s been drinking. She said they argued and he grabbed her phone out of her hand. She denied trying to slap him. Because a young child was present, Westchester County child protective services was contacted. A New York state domestic incident report was completed. The couple agreed to leave each other alone for the remainder of the evening.
LEWISBORO
Monday, Sept. 14
8 a.m. — A Pine Hill Drive resident reported that a metal bench positioned at the edge of his front yard was stolen. Police interviewed the neighbors and one woman said she saw a man and a woman loading the bench into the bed of their dark-colored pickup truck. Police are investigating.
6:10 p.m. — A runaway from Four Winds Hospital believed to be in the wooded area of Lambert Ridge Road was not located.
Tuesday, Sept. 15
7 a.m. — Two cars collided on Route 121 in the vicinity of a stop sign on School House Road. No injuries were reported and neither car was towed.
10:33 a.m. — Police went to Quincy Court, Goldens Bridge, for an argument between neighbors over tree work. An officer remained on scene while the trees were trimmed. The complainant continued to call 911 despite police suggesting she move her vehicle. She said she would sue if a branch fell on it.
2 p.m. — A person reported their cellphone was stolen while pumping gas at a service station on Route 35, South Salem; he thought an elderly man took it while pumping gas into his blue pickup. Video cameras showed the elderly man’s license plate and also him placing the phone in his pocket. Police went to his residence and he said he thought the phone was his and he’d picked it up by accident. The phone was returned to the rightful owner.
4:15 p.m. — A man told police he was struck by a car while walking his dog in the vicinity of Ridgefield Avenue, South Salem. The car’s side mirror hit his shoulder. The driver said he didn’t see the man because of shadows from the sun but stopped immediately. Police said the sun was a factor. No one was injured.
Thursday, Sept. 17
4:10 p.m. — Police went to a residence on Cross Pond Road, South Salem, for a reported overdose. The resident told police he accidentally took too much of his medication and felt nauseous. He was evaluated by medics who didn’t think the accidental high dose was a cause for concern.
Friday, Sept. 18
4:39 p.m. — An intoxicated man was reported leaving a gas station in Cross River. Police looked for him unsuccessfully.
6:50 p.m. — Police impounded a blue Nissan traveling on Route 35 for a faulty brake light. The driver said he didn’t have a license and produced a foreign identity card. Two summonses were issued.
Saturday, Sept. 19
7:57 a.m. — A car vs. deer collision was reported on Route 35 near Four Winds Hospital. The reporting party said a deer ran out from the woods and directly into her vehicle, resulting in serious front and hood damage. A report was completed for her insurance. Police couldn’t find the deer.
11:20 a.m. — A driver pulled over at the intersection of West Lane and Elmwood Road, South Salem, for failure to stop at a stop sign was unable to produce a license and instead showed a foreign identity card. The car had temporary Connecticut plates with an expiration date in November. There were other issues regarding insurance and registration. The vehicle was impounded and the driver brought to headquarters to be fingerprinted and issued multiple summonses including a court appearance.
11:53 a.m. — A golf cart accident was reported at the Waccabuc Country Club. The occupants said they made a wrong turn for the tournament around the 18th hole and hit a fence and rolled the cart. The front side axle was broken. Two men suffered facial abrasions and scratches to their arms. They were both taken to Danbury Hospital.
4:30 p.m. — A man who was stung by bees and fainted was assisted by police who responded to his home in Katonah. When police arrived he was conscious and alert. He said his puppy was also stung and he was on the phone with the veterinarian when he lost consciousness. He was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital.
Sunday, Sept. 20
9:15 a.m. — Police went to a location on Route 35 for a man behaving erratically. They spoke with his daughter who said her father moved in with her the day before after suffering a heart attack in Florida. She said when she asked if he’d taken his medication he became irate and threw things and said he was going back to Florida. He was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital for evaluation.
10:50 a.m. — A woman, 76, in cardiac arrest was treated with CPR by a police officer until EMS arrived. She had been found on the floor, unresponsive. After she was shocked three times and a pulse was regained, she was taken to Danbury Hospital.

Tuesday, Sept. 15
7 a.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 56 mph in a 30-mph zone.
8:18 a.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 56 mph in a 30-mph zone.
8:35 a.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 55 mph in a 30-mph zone.
9:34 a.m. — Two summonses were issued to the driver of a commercial vehicle on Westchester Avenue for unregistered vehicle and improper towing.
9:54 a.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 53 mph in a 30-mph zone.
12:06 p.m. —A driver on Pound Ridge Road was given a ticket for using a portable electronic device.
12:54 p.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was issued a summons for driving a car while using an electronic device.
1:12 p.m. —Police approached a landscaper working on a property on Tatomuck Road; they’d been reported using a gas leaf blower. Police said the equipment in use was battery powered.
6:56 p.m. — A man was taken by ambulance from his Old Pound Road home to Northern Westchester Hospital.
8:20 p.m. — A caller on Bayberry Way reported a suspicious car parked on the side of the roadway. Police spoke to the operator who’d pulled over to make a phone call.
3:40 p.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was issued a summons for using their phone while driving.
Wednesday, Sept. 16
10:43 a.m. — A driver on Salem Road was pulled over for having no inspection sticker.
11:17 a.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 60 mph in a 30-mph zone.
12:15 p.m. — A man was taken by ambulance from his home on Major Tallmadge Lane to Northern Westchester Hospital.
4:20 p.m. — A person came into headquarters to report they’d been notified by their bank of a fraudulent attempt to open a credit card in their name; the fraudster also attempted to purchase a firearm. The bank said the charges were denied and no card account was opened. The bank advised the resident their social security number and other guarded information had been exposed. Police advised the resident to contact all their credit agencies and banks to secure their accounts.
5:04 p.m. — The operator of a commercial vehicle traveling on Salem Road was issued tickets for violation of safety rules and also windshield glass.
5:29 p.m. — A driver on Highview Road was ticketed for failure to obey a safety device.
5:43 p.m. — Another driver traveling on Highview Road was also ticketed for failure to obey a traffic device.
Thursday, Sept. 17
8:04 a.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 54 mph in a 30-mph zone.
8:18 a.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 61 mph in a 30-mph zone.
8:39 a.m. — A driver traveling 55 mph on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 55 mph in a 30-mph zone.
1:04 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 56 mph in a 30-mph zone.
1:41 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 58 mph in a 30-mph zone.
3:35 p.m. — A High Ridge Road resident was assisted by police and the Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps getting back into their chair after they couldn’t get up themselves.
5:26 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 51 mph in a 30-mph zone.
6:08 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 50 mph in a 30-mph zone.
6:25 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 58 mph in a 30-mph zone.
7 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 51 mph in a 30-mph zone. They also had no insurance.
Friday, Sept. 18
12:20 a.m. — A Cross Pond Road resident was visited by police after a complaint about their dog barking. The owner said they would try to be more conscientious about their pet.
9:17 a.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for no inspection sticker and also for using their phone while operating a motor vehicle.
10:13 a.m. — A woman was taken by ambulance to Stamford Hospital from her Trinity Pass Road home.
2:36 p.m. — A landscaper reported using a gas-powered leaf blower on South Bedford Road was contacted by police. The landscaper said he doesn’t use any gas powered equipment. He was given a pamphlet with town ordinance information.
2:50 p.m. — A South Bedford Road resident was given a warning letter regarding his use of a gas leaf blower.
8:45 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for speeding 52 mph in a 30 mph zone.
9:16 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for their unregistered vehicle.
Saturday, Sept. 19
7:59 a.m. —A driver on Westchester Avenue was ticketed for doing 54 mph in a 30-mph zone.
10:48 a.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was pulled over for speeding and ticketed for doing 52 mph in a 30-mph zone.
2:55 p.m. — A Norwalk, Conn., man was arrested on Westchester Avenue after police became aware he was driving with a suspended license. He was pulled over and ticketed for having no inspection sticker and no insurance. He’s due in court Oct. 5.
Sunday, Sept. 20
11:27 a.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was issued a ticket for doing 52 mph in a 30-mph zone.
9:44 p.m. — A tree reported down on High Ridge Road with hanging wires was referred to the utility.
MOUNT KISCO
Sunday, Sept. 13
12:02 a.m. — A caller requested a welfare check for a relative who lives on Sutton Drive. The resident wasn’t at home and the front door was open. Officers canvassed the area, and an officer responding from the Saw Mill River Parkway to assist, located the person walking on North Bedford Road. EMS was requested but the assisted party declined any medical attention.
12:23 a.m. — A noise complaint was received on Smith Avenue. Responding officers located an apartment that was the source of loud music. The resident agreed to turn the music off.
1:16 a.m. — A Sutton Drive man reported that he had possibly taken too much medication and was concerned he might overdose. Officers and Westchester EMS responded. The man was taken to the hospital.
3:26 a.m. — A Cold Spring Court resident reported that three men came onto his property, entered two unlocked cars and removed two Amazon packages and a jacket totaling $1,000 in value. Investigation identified a suspect vehicle that had been reported stolen in New Jersey. The vehicle was later found unoccupied by authorities in Newark, N.J. The investigation is continuing.
9:56 a.m. — A larceny was reported at Target on North Bedford Road. Store personnel provided a description of a woman who left without paying for merchandise. Officers located her sitting in a car near Stop & Shop and detained her for investigation. Clothing and groceries totaling $166 were recovered along with about $80 in goods that, police said, were stolen from Stop & Shop. The woman, 45, was charged with two counts of petty larceny, a misdemeanor. She was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending an Oct. 1 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.
11:43 a.m. — A Carlton Drive woman reported that $100 in cash was taken from her car, which was unlocked and parked outside her home overnight.
1:18 p.m. — Report of an intoxicated man who fell and cut his face in the 600 block of East Main Street. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded and took him to the hospital.
7:47 p.m. — An intoxicated man fell in front of a Lexington Avenue deli. He was taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center.
Monday, Sept. 14
11:16 a.m. — Officers responded to North Bedford Road to assist a person in an emotional crisis. The Mobile Crisis Response Team and EMS were requested. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps took the person to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation.
4:10 p.m. — A complaint was received regarding a woman who left a bar on Main Street without paying for $24 worth of drinks. An officer located her on Carpenter Avenue and detained her. The bar owner told another officer that he did not wish to press charges but wanted to file a formal trespass warning barring the woman from his premises. The woman was advised that she would be arrested if she returned to the establishment. EMS was requested and the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to take the woman to the hospital for evaluation.
11:12 p.m. — Police received a report of a woman walking back and forth on Gregory Avenue ringing doorbells. The woman, a New Jersey resident, told officers she had a dispute earlier in the evening with her parents and left home. She was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital for evaluation.
Tuesday, Sept. 15
1:17 a.m. — A pedestrian suffered a minor injury when he was struck by a car outside Northern Westchester Hospital. He was brought into the ER where he was treated and released.
8:38 a.m. — Officers responded to Amuso Drive on a report of a domestic dispute involving a woman and her son. The incident was verbal in nature only. A New York state domestic incident report was prepared.
3:21 p.m. — A tree fell onto a car in a parking lot in the 200 block of North Bedford Road, damaging it. A report was prepared.
Wednesday, Sept. 16
10:45 a.m. — An officer responded to Target on North Bedford Road on a report of a shoplifting suspect detained by store security. A 36-year-old Chappaqua woman was taken into custody on a charge of petty larceny, a misdemeanor. She is accused of leaving the store with $172 worth of stolen merchandise. She is due in village court Oct. 22.
4 p.m. — An officer responded to a West Hyatt Avenue building regarding a dispute between a tenant and a man visiting his girlfriend in another apartment. The complainant was advised to raise his concern about visitors entering the building with his landlord.
5:28 p.m. — An officer was dispatched to the Green Street precinct to meet a person who wanted to file a fraud complaint. The resident reported that he had received a WhatsApp request from his brother’s phone number asking for $400 and that he sent the funds. He then learned his brother’s phone had been hacked.
Thursday, Sept. 17
12:44 a.m. — An officer on patrol on Lexington Avenue was flagged down by a woman who reported that she was not feeling well and was walking to Northern Westchester Hospital. She asked the officer to follow her to make sure she arrived without incident. The woman declined an ambulance or a courtesy transport. The officer followed as requested and observed her enter the Emergency Department without incident.
10:52 a.m. — An officer responded to Leonard Park to conduct a welfare check on a man who was observed walking on the path near the Tea House and screaming. The man was found sitting on a bench upon the officer’s arrival and was advised that his conduct had alarmed other park patrons. He said he was sorry and left the park.
11:15 a.m. — An officer on patrol on Main Street stopped a vehicle that he observed cross the double yellow line into the oncoming lane of traffic. It was determined that the driver was apparently having a diabetic emergency and EMS was requested. He was taken to a hospital.
3:12 p.m. — Officers responded to Target on North Bedford Road on a report that a larceny suspect had just fled from loss prevention personnel. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate the man. Video was obtained and turned over to a detective for continued investigation.
9:41 p.m. — An employee of a Main Street business reported that $800 was stolen during a visit to the store by three men. A review of security video showed three men entering the store at different times, with one of them later asking to use a restroom. The money was taken while the man was shown where the restroom was located. The matter was turned over to detectives for continued investigation.
