Sunday, May 18
2:09 a.m. — A resident of Ossining, male, 33, was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and driving with a suspended license after an officer observed his vehicle being operated erratically in the 200 block of Main Street. It was also determined that there was a warrant for his arrest issued by state police in Nassau County. The man was booked at the Green Street precinct and issued an appearance ticket for the Mount Kisco Justice Court. He was held until a trooper arrived to take custody of him on the state police warrant.
2:19 p.m. — Police received a report of a fight in progress on Gregory Avenue involving two men. A resident reported that another man had assaulted him with a wooden pole during an argument over money. A witness to the altercation confirmed the victim’s account. Officers canvassed the area and took a suspect into custody on Lexington Avenue. A village resident, 22, was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. The suspect was booked at the Green Street precinct and held for arraignment.
4 p.m. — Police received a report of an unlicensed vendor selling candy from a van parked on South Moger Avenue. The vendor produced a New York City business permit and said he was unaware he needed similar permission to operate in Mount Kisco. He was advised of the process for applying for a village permit and he left the area.
5:14 p.m. – The front door of a deli on Armonk Road was reported damaged. Employees told an officer that the door was damaged by an intoxicated customer who became unruly when asked to leave the premises. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the customer.
11:19 p.m. – A resident of Maple Avenue, 21, was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging him with second-degree robbery and second-degree assault, both felonies. A sergeant on patrol recognized the man and approached him as he walked near the Mount Kisco Public Library on Main Street. The suspect fled but was chased and apprehended and taken into custody after a struggle. He was booked on the original charges as well as resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. He was taken to the Westchester County Jail pending arraignment.
Tuesday, May 20
4:19 a.m. — A noise complaint was received involving a man and woman arguing loudly behind a business in the 200 block of Main Street. A witness told officers that he observed the couple walk off just prior to an officer’s arrival.
2:41 p.m. — The owner of a business in the 200 block of Main Street reported that someone attempted to break in overnight. Security camera video showed a man trying to force his way in at 4:05 a.m. The case was turned over to detectives for investigation.
5:15 p.m. — Officers responded to a report of a woman bleeding from self-inflicted wounds to her arms. The woman was taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center for medical and mental health care. EMS also assisted with cleaning an officer’s arms.
Thursday, May 22
11:04 a.m. — A village resident, 38, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, following a dispute about 90 minutes earlier at his place of employment on North Bedford Road. He is accused of damaging the window of a vehicle owned by a co-worker after they had an argument. The man had left the premises after the incident but was located by an officer and taken into custody.
12 p.m. — A written trespass warning was issued to two homeless women who caused a disturbance the previous evening at St. Francis of Assisi Church and returned to the church property in the morning. An officer attempted to obtain services for them through the Mobile Crisis Response Team but they declined assistance and left the area in a taxi.
2:49 p.m. — Report of a gas leak at a building on Lexington Avenue. Patrol officers and the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department responded. The fire department determined the building actually has no gas service.
6:58 p.m. — Officers responded to a Lexington Avenue laundromat on a report of a disturbance involving several men. Upon arrival, officers located a man who was bleeding from his forehead. Witnesses reported that a fight had broken out among four men and that the injured man was one of the aggressors. He was taken by Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Northern Westchester Hospital for treatment of his injury.
Friday, May 23
1:36 p.m. — A woman used the call box at the Green Street precinct to report that she has been receiving text messages from a person who is barred from contacting her by a court-issued order of protection. She was advised that officers were handling calls for service and one would return to the precinct as soon as possible. She left her contact information with a dispatcher and said she would return after work to have an officer take a report.
