Sunday, Aug. 10
7:19 p.m. — A man used the callbox at the Green Street precinct to report that he was being followed by another man that he has an order of protection against. An officer on patrol was dispatched to the precinct and located the man described by the complainant. It was determined, however, that there was no order of protection issued by any court. The complainant then left the scene but EMS was requested for the other party because he was highly intoxicated. A box cutter found in that man’s possession was confiscated by officers to ensure the safety of EMS personnel taking him to the hospital.
8:10 p.m. — A resident of Barker Street, female, told officers she called 911 after an argument with her husband because he pushed her during the dispute. She declined to press charges. Officers prepared a New York state domestic incident report.
11:30 p.m. — Officers returned to the Barker Street residence on a report of another verbal dispute. The husband was advised to leave the premises for the night to calm the situation and he agreed to do so. Officers waited for him to gather some belongings and escorted him from the premises.
Monday, Aug. 11
1:32 a.m. — Police investigated a report of a man possibly trying to open car doors at a Kisco Avenue dealership. No one was seen in the lot upon officers’ arrival. Parking lots at other dealerships, businesses and apartment complexes in the area were checked with similar results.
7:33 p.m. — A resident of Oakridge Road, male, reported that another man threatened to assault him with a machete during a dispute over a parking space. The complainant told responding officers that he never saw a machete but said that the other man had threatened to go get one. The other party to the dispute denied making any such threat. The parties were sent their separate ways.
10:22 p.m. — A resident of Prospect Street, male, reported that a drone was hovering over his house. An officer responded but did not observe a drone over the home or above any adjacent streets.
Tuesday, Aug. 12
12:24 a.m. — Officers responded to a West Street residence on a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend, who was moving out of the apartment, shoved her during an argument, causing her to fall to the ground. A New York state domestic incident report was prepared.
2:37 p.m. — An officer responded to Maplewood Drive on a report of an elderly woman having difficulty breathing. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded and provided care upon the officer’s arrival. The woman was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital.
Wednesday, Aug. 13
4:44 a.m. — A male, 37, was charged with disorderly conduct and consumption and possession of an alcoholic beverage in public, both violations, after officers responded to Barker Street on a report of a man unconscious on the sidewalk. Officers found an intoxicated man asleep next to an open can of beer and woke him up. The man declined any medical attention and became loud and belligerent with officers, police said. Due to the hour and proximity to apartments, he was advised multiple times to lower his voice and refused to do so, police said. He was taken to the Green Street precinct and issued summonses returnable to Mount Kisco Justice Court on Sept. 4.
Thursday, Aug. 14
7:53 a.m. — Officers responded to Spring Street on an activated fire alarm. Entry to an apartment was made with the assistance of the building superintendent. No one was present and there was no visible fire. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department also responded, confirmed there was no fire anywhere in the structure and determined a faulty smoke detector most likely triggered the false alarm.
10:45 a.m. — Police investigated a report of graffiti on a retaining wall along Kisco Avenue. An officer canvassed a nearby church and businesses but was unable to locate any security camera video capturing the vandalism as it occurred.
Friday, Aug. 15
4 a.m. — Officers responded to a gas station convenience store on an activated panic alarm. An employee told officers he activated the alarm after a customer became enraged and started throwing items around the store when he was denied an alcohol purchase. Officers canvassed the area for the man but were unable to locate him.
11 a.m. — Officers responded to a Lexington Avenue apartment after a female reported a domestic dispute that occurred the night before. A report was prepared.
This report was made from official records provided by the Pound Ridge, Bedford, Lewisboro and county (Mount Kisco) police departments. Mount Kisco is compiled by Martin Wilbur, all others by Eve Marx.
