The Pound Ridge Town Board on Tuesday, Feb. 4, promoted three of its law enforcement officers.

Detectives William Pataky and Gregory Walz were promoted to sergeant, and police officer Joseph Comunale was promoted to detective.

“These officers have shown their ability and desire to take on additional responsibilities and tasks with our department,” Police Chief Thomas Mulcahy said in a January letter to the town board. “I recommend each one of them without reservation for these promotions and thank the board for their attention and support in this matter.”
