Crashes with injuries, low hanging wires, loose dogs 

Tuesday. May 6

2:10 a.m. —  Police responded to the area of Fox Run Road after receiving a call about an unidentified loud noise. On arrival, they saw wires hanging and sparking. The utility was notified. 

1:20 p.m. — A resident of Lower Trinity Pass Road complained to police about their neighbor who raked all their yard refuse into the roadway. Police spoke to the homeowner who said they would correct the situation.  

Wednesday. May 7

9:45 a.m. — A one-car crash on Upper Shad Road resulted in the car being towed from the scene and one person taken to the hospital by ambulance. No further information was provided.  

3:10 p.m. — A one-car crash on Salem Road resulted in the car being towed and the operator and a passenger being transported to the hospital by ambulance. No further information was provided.

Thursday May 8

9:45 a.m. — During a radar traffic detail on Westchester Avenue, police issued two speeding summonses to different drivers.   

12:00 p.m. — One speeder traveling on Westchester Avenue was stopped and issued a ticket by police on radar traffic enforcement patrol.  

8:50 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was issued a ticket for failure to obey a traffic device.  

Friday, May 9

9:45 a.m. — A trailer reported blocking traffic on Pine Brook Road was observed to be legally parked and not causing any hazard when police arrived. As a precaution to drivers, police set out traffic cones.  

10:05 — A female was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Westchester EMS and medics. No further information was provided.

12:15 p.m. — Low hanging wires were reported by a caller on East Woods Road. The utility was notified.  

7:10 p.m. — A male was taken by Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Stamford Hospital. No further information was provided.

5:35 p.m. — A caller on Tatomuck Road reported two black SUVs circling the area; the caller found this suspicious. Police looked for the described vehicles with negative results.

Saturday, May 10

7:10 a.m. — A caller reported Upper Shad Road blocked by a fallen tree. Police responding to the area could not locate the tree.  

8:00 a.m. — Two parking summonses were issued to operators on Winterbottom Road: one for violating the permitted use of the vehicle and the second for a license plate violation.  

6:50 a.m. — A caller reported Old Mill River Road blocked by downed electrical wires. Police on arrival saw wires hanging low. The utility was notified.  

12:37 p.m. — A caller on Scofield Road reported the road was blocked by downed wires. Police on arrival saw wires hanging low. The utility was notified.  

10:30 a.m. — A radar traffic enforcement on Westchester Avenue yielded no violations.

1:58 p.m. — A driver was pulled over on Salem Road by police during a routine traffic detail. They were issued a summons for failure to produce an insurance card.  

5:00 p.m. — A resident on Parkview Road complained to police about an unknown dog on their property. A resident at the dog’s home was notified and said they would come and get the dog.  

Sunday, May 11

11:35 a.m. — A driver was issued a ticket on Westchester Avenue for failure to stop at a stop sign.  

5:17 p.m. — The same resident on Parkview Road called police and said the dog was back; this time there were two dogs. A guest at the dogs’ home said they were unaware the electric fence wasn’t working and would keep a better eye on the dogs.  

11:00 p.m. — A routine radar traffic enforcement on Westchester Avenue yielded no violations.
