Pound Ridge Police Report June 3-

Tuesday, June 3

7:00 a.m. — Six summonses were issued to drivers traveling on  Westchester Avenue: four for driving while using a cellphone; one for speeding, doing 50 mph in a 30-mph zone; and one for driving an unregistered vehicle. 

9:20 p.m. — A male, age and condition not provided, was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps. 


Wednesday, June 4

11:02 a.m. — A female, age and condition unknown, was taken by PRVAC in the company of a medic to Northern Westchester Hospital. 

1:00 p.m. — Police went to an address on Barnegat Road after a caller, most likely a neighbor, reported gas leaf blowers were in use, in violation of local ordinance. Police on arrival spoke to the landscaper and saw all his leaf blowing equipment is electric. There were no violations. 

3:05 p.m. — A brush fire was reported on Stone Hill Road. Pound Ridge firefighters extinguished it.  


Thursday, June 5

9:37 a.m. — Callers on Trinity Pass Road reported a transformer explosion. Police went to the location but said there was no issue with the transformer. Two residents in the area reported loss of power. The utility was notified.  

11:05 a.m. — A woman walked into headquarters after falling and scraping her knee. A police officer cleaned the wound for her and bandaged it and the woman continued on her way. 

6:25 p.m. — Health and safety hazards were reported on Upper Shad Road. A caller reported a tree was resting on wires. The highway department was notified to check on the wires.  

8:14 p.m. — Police and Westchester EMS went to a home where medical help was requested with a young man. On arrival the mother changed her mind and declined further attention. 


Friday, June 6

9:45 a.m. — A resident on Rolling Meadow Lane had a visit from the police when her medical alarm was accidentally activated. No medical attention was needed. 

7:45 p.m. — A two-car collision was reported on Westchester Avenue. Police said no one was injured but one car was towed.  

9:25 p.m. — A summons was issued to a driver on Westchester Avenue for failure to obey a traffic signal.  


Saturday, June 7

10:50 p.m. — A found dog reported on Westchester Avenue was safely returned to its pet sitter. 


Sunday, June 8

4:05 a.m. — Two males were reported breaking into a car parked on Trinity Pass Road. The reporting party said nothing was taken. The area was searched and New York State Police were contacted.  

12:20 p.m. — Two traffic summonses were issued to drivers traveling on High Ridge Road: one for driving an unregistered vehicle, and the other for failure to obey a traffic device.  

4:30 p.m. — A disabled vehicle was reported stranded on High Ridge Road. Police summoned a tow truck and the car was removed.
