Pound Ridge Police Report July 9-13

Wednesday, July 9

4:25 a.m. — Wires and tree limbs down reported on Upper Shad Road. The utility was notified.

2:40 p.m. — A person, gender and condition unknown, was taken by Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Northern Westchester Hospital. 

5:15 p.m. — A one-car collision was reported on Lower Shad Road. No one was injured. Police say the car hit a big rock.  

Thursday, July 10

2:00 p.m. — A caller on Pound Ridge Road reported a dog being walked off leash.  

9:30 p.m. — A two-car collision on Westchester Avenue resulted in property damage but no injuries. Police say both cars were towed from the scene. 


Friday, July 11

9:35 a.m. — A caller reported the road blocked on Trinity Pass Road; police on their arrival saw wires on trees. The utility was notified.  

10:00 a.m. — A neighbor dispute was reported on Doe View Lane. No further information was provided.

10:30 a.m. — A caller on Pheasant Road reported someone using a gas leaf blower. 

8:00 p.m. — A traffic summons was  given to a driver traveling on Westchester Avenue for failure to stop at a stop sign. 

9:30 p.m. — Two traffic summonses were issued to drivers traveling on Westchester Avenue, both for driving over 50 mph in a 30-mph zone. 


Sunday, July 13

8:08 a.m. — A bicyclist was reported down on Trinity Pass Road. Police said a man, age and condition unknown, was taken to Westchester Medical Center by PRVAC. 

4:50 p.m. — A caller on Pettit Lane reported a suspicious vehicle. Police on their arrival didn’t see it.
