Mount Kisco Police Report June 1-6

Sunday, June 1

12:30 p.m. — Officers and canines from the Hazardous Devices Unit conducted a security sweep in and around Village Hall prior to the Sesquicentennial Community Day parade. All was secure. 

7:32 p.m. — Emergency Service Unit officers and the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to a report of a car hitting a tree along the Saw Mill River Parkway, south of the pumphouse. The driver, who was conscious and alert, was extricated by officers and taken by ambulance to a hospital.


Monday, June 2

11:43 a.m. — An officer observed two people drinking alcohol from open containers in the Blackeby municipal lot. The officer also recognized one of the men as being wanted in connection with an assault that occurred May 25. The suspect, age 45, was taken into custody. He was booked on the assault charge and released pending a July 10 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court. The second man was issued a summons for violating a local ordinance prohibiting the public consumption of alcohol.


Wednesday, June 4

3:52 p.m. — Officers responded to Gatto Drive on a report of a loud disturbance. It was determined that a verbal disagreement had occurred between roommates over access to laundry facilities. The parties were advised to work out the issue with their landlord. No further police action was necessary.


Thursday, June 5

6:02 p.m. — Report of a pedestrian struck by a car on Main Street in front of the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester. The pedestrian’s injury was determined to be minor.

6:10 p.m. — An officer responded to Mount Kisco Justice Court after a resident of Katonah, male, 25, surrendered on outstanding arrest warrants. The man was booked at the Green Street precinct on a charge of driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law offenses. He was returned to court where he was released pending an appearance at a future date.

9:36 p.m. — A male, 27, was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor, after a break-in at a North Moger Avenue residence. The resident reported that she had come home a short time earlier and found her apartment had been entered and property stolen. After an officer viewed security camera video, a description of a suspect was broadcast and officers canvassed the area. The suspect was located on the platform of the Metro-North station and taken into custody. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and held for arraignment. 


Friday, June 6

11:08 p.m. — An officer responded to a restaurant on Main Street after a woman reported that her estranged husband had come to her workplace in violation of a court order of protection. She told the officer that her husband took video of her and then sent her text messages after she locked herself in a bathroom to call police. The man had left the scene prior to the officers’ arrival, and a description of his vehicle was broadcast. Mount Pleasant Police stopped the car a short time later and detained the man for Westchester County Police. The 32-year-old Chappaqua resident was booked at the Green Street precinct on a charge of second-degree criminal contempt (violation of a court order).
