Sunday, April 20
2:15 a.m. — Police received notice that a teenage girl reported missing by her family in Bedford might be visiting a friend in Mount Kisco. At the request of the Bedford Police Department, officers went to the friend’s home, and then went to another location at that friend’s suggestion. The teen was not found. 4:22 a.m. — An officer patrolling West Hyatt Avenue in the continuing search for the missing girl was approached by the girl. She said she wanted to go home but had no way to get there. Bedford Police were notified and came to take custody of her.
Monday, April 21
2:26 a.m. — A man called police to report three men had followed him out of a bar on Main Street and that he felt concerned for his safety. Upon arrival, the man told officers he didn’t have any interaction with the men inside the bar but feared they might be following him. Officers waited until the man got into a taxi and left the area.
Tuesday, April 22
9:51 a.m. — A property manager reported that a break-in had occurred at a vacant store in the 100 block of Main Street. The manager said he found a rear door to the store open when he came to check the premises and found graffiti spray-painted inside. Patrol officers turned the matter over to detectives for continued investigation.
5:52 p.m. — Police received a report of a dispute between two motorists on South Moger Avenue. A woman reported that a man became enraged when she beeped at him and he started cursing at her. She cursed back at him and the argument escalated. After confirming that the dispute was verbal in nature only, an officer sent both parties on their way.
Wednesday, April 23
8:30 p.m. — An employee of an agency that works with individuals with mental illnesses reported that one of her clients was shoved to the ground on Carpenter Avenue. The employee said the client described the assailant as a man but could not provide a more detailed description. A report was requested to document the incident.
Thursday, April 24
11:58 a.m. — Officers responded to a supermarket on North Bedford Road for a report of a dispute between two customers. A woman told police she had argued with another shopper who then pushed a shopping cart toward her before leaving the store.
11:57 p.m. — A Gregory Avenue resident called the police and said there was a man with a gun outside his home. Responding officers searched the property but found no one. Officers then spoke with the resident who admitted making the false claim because he was depressed and wanted the police to come to his home. Westchester EMS was requested to respond and take the man to Westchester Medical Center for a mental health evaluation. Officers also notified the Mobile Crisis Response Team to provide follow-up assistance for the man.
Monday, April 28
12:11 a.m. — Officers responded to Gregory Avenue on a report that a vehicle had struck two parked cars. Witnesses reported that the driver of a Honda Accord then attempted to drive away from the scene but was prevented from doing so by two residents of the block. After failing a field sobriety test, the driver, a resident of Gregory Avenue, male, 35, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He also was issued summonses for leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driving without a license. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a May 8 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.
