Police say she notified them a few days later to say she found her ring.

Police returned to the gym an hour later for a second report, this time of a woman who lost consciousness while playing pickleball. She told police she has a history of hypertension and is taking medication. She said she wasn’t injured as other participants caught her when she fainted and helped her safely to the floor. She was evaluated by Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps members and Westchester EMS and refused further care. She was driven home by the pickleball coach.

6:00 p.m. — Property damage was reported in Katonah after a resident said they were pulling into their garage when their foot slipped off the brake and they collided with another car in the garage. The force of the collision pushed the second car into a staircase. The building inspector was on scene. Temporary bracing to secure the integrity of the home was put in place by Goldens Bridge Fire Department.

Wednesday, April 23

12:57 p.m. — Police went to a hospital in Cross River after a patient’s family refused to leave after the patient was discharged, claiming their child’s orthodontic retainer was not returned. The family left before police arrived. Hospital staff said they had a comprehensive list of all the things the patient had with them when they entered the facility and a retainer was not on the list.

4:50 p.m. — Officers were dispatched to a residence on South Shore Drive, South Salem, after a medical doctor informed them a patient had threatened them. At the location, police were informed that the individual in question no longer lived there. Soon after, police received an anonymous call that the person they were looking for was driving around the area in a red Subaru. The driver was stopped and taken into custody and subsequently transported to Northern Westchester Hospital.

She told police she did not want to press charges. An officer spoke with the son who agreed to be taken to Northern Westchester Hospital for evaluation.

3:44 p.m. — Police went to Route 35, Cross River, after a man was reported asking for clothes. Police say he was wearing a ripped shirt but appeared unhurt. It was noted he was wearing shoes that required laces but had none. The man identified himself but declined further conversation. Area medical facilities were checked to see if they had any runaways; none did. The subject continued walking eastbound on Route 35.

Friday, April 25

11:45 a.m. — A man came to headquarters to report his mother’s caretaker was stealing from her. Reportedly stolen were antiques, collectibles and cash. He told police he installed security cameras inside the South Salem home and has footage of the caretaker taking things and placing them in her pockets. He said his mother doesn’t want to press charges but wanted the incidents documented.

12:30 p.m. — Criminal mischief was reported at the Fox Valley Park playground in Katonah. Police saw a trash can damaged by fire in the picnic area. Park personnel said it was a new can. Police are investigating.

Police advised the reporting party she was being taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

5:30 p.m. — A Katonah resident reported a woman snooping around the outside of her house. She said she is in a court battle with her former spouse who sold the home without her knowledge. The homeowner was contacted and said a door connecting the garage to the house wasn’t properly sealed and had a tendency to blow open, which likely set off the alarm.

8:02 p.m. — A resident of Stonewall Court, South Salem, reported she was locked out of her house. Police say her husband has an order of protection against her. She told police he was on his way to the home with a key. The husband arrived and unlocked the door and she and her daughter went inside. Police later learned they both have “refrain” orders of protection against each other. Because no court orders were violated, no further action was taken. A report was made for documentation.
