Do bin your dog doo-doo please

To the Editor,

I adore walking my dogs throughout Katonah — the bucolic landscapes, meeting other dogs and their owners, and the neighborly hellos. What I don’t adore is our new outdoor “exhibit” of plastic-wrapped dog waste perched along sidewalks, thrown into bushes and even a small pothole like macabre party favors. Why pick it up only to toss it somewhere? The outdoor environment will not biodegrade the plastic poop bag. If you can bag it, you can find a bin or, if it’s not a trash day, carry it home.
