It’s always a great day for a parade, and early last Friday evening, July 11, was no different. The annual Mount Kisco Volunteer Fireman’s Parade celebrated the volunteers who help serve and protect the community with a procession down Main Street to South Moger Avenue. The four Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department companies were joined by their brethren from around Westchester and into Connecticut, sending volunteers and apparatus to the event. The grand marshal for the 2025 parade was Francis Bradley, who has lived in the village for more than 70 years and has served the Mutual Engine & Hose Co. #1 for 66 years, serving as president and captain.

Michael Cindrich (front row, left,) Trustee Angie Garcia-Guerra (front row, middle) and Deputy Mayor Theresa Flora. They were joined by (from left behind them) Assemblymember Chris Burdick, Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins, state Sen. Pete Harckham and village Trustee Karen Schleimer. Fire departments from around the region sent marching bands to this year’s Mount Kisco Volunteer Fireman’s Parade. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department displays its apparatus. The Mount Kisco Fife & Drum Corps was one of many marching groups at the parade. Dozens of Mount Kisco’s volunteer firefighters participated in the July 11 Fireman’s Parade down Main Street. Many of the surrounding fire departments sent personnel and trucks to the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fireman’s Parade, including this vintage truck from the Bedford Hills Volunteer Fire Department.(Martin Wilbur Photos)
