The Recorder is growing! We are pleased to announce that with this issue The Recorder is adding the village of Mount Kisco to our local coverage area.

This expansion comes six months after we launched our weekly print newspaper serving the towns of Bedford, Lewisboro and Pound Ridge.

Martin Wilbur joins our editorial team this week as a senior reporter and will drive our Mount Kisco coverage. Wilbur is a veteran local news editor and reporter, most recently serving as editor in chief of The Examiner, where he wrote a wide variety of articles about Mount Kisco and other communities in Westchester and Putnam counties. He has also held editorial positions at the North County News and Gannett Suburban Newspapers. Wilbur joins The Recorder’s other senior reporter, Jeff Morris, as key editorial contributors, reporting to Thane Grauel, editor, and Ed Baum, editorial director.

The Recorder also welcomes two veteran advertising sales executives from The Examiner, Paul Cardi and Ken Gulmi. They have years of experience working with businesses and local newspapers throughout northern Westchester and environs to develop effective advertising and marketing programs. They join Francesca Lynch on our advertising sales team.

The Examiner, a well-respected independent community news organization, recently terminated its print publications due to economic and other factors.

The Recorder has added other seasoned journalists to our team in recent months to help us broaden our editorial coverage. John Turiano, former editor in chief of Westchester Magazine, now manages The Recorder’s topically-themed special sections, which most recently featured a 10-page Kids section in our March 21 issue. Amy Sowder, an experienced food journalist and former managing editor of Westchester Magazine, writes regular columns for our Food & Dining pages and articles about new restaurants and other food-related businesses.

As always, we invite our readers to submit article suggestions, feedback, announcements and letters to the editor. You can contact us by email at editor@therecorder.org, through our website at therecorder.org, and at the additional email addresses below.
