Wednesday, Aug. 26

“Stay Steady: A matter of balance and fall prevention,” 1 p.m. at Conant Hall. 

Falls are a serious risk, but many are preventable. This interactive and practical program by Family Services of Westchester gives participants the tools to protect themselves, improve their balance, and move with confidence. Stay safe, stay strong and keep doing what you love.


Wednesday, Sept. 2

Rita’s African Show, 12:30 p.m., at Conant Hall.

Rita K. Wagener, a native Ugandan, wanted to preserve and celebrate her culture so she created this program which showcases the beauty and richness of her African heritage. The show features vibrant African fabrics and designs.  Traditional dances will be explored and audience participation is highly encouraged, whether sitting or standing. Nonresidents of Pound Ridge: $10.

Wednesday, Sept. 17

Untermyer Gardens private tour and lunch at Gianna’s. Bus departs Pound Ridge Town House at 10 a.m., estimated return, 3:30 p.m.

Located on the grounds of a former estate overlooking the Hudson River, Untermyer Gardens was inspired by the gardens of Persia, India, Pakistan, Spain and Italy. With 43 cultivated and woodland acres, the gardens combine exceptional horticulture, monumental architecture, and multicultural design in a majestic natural setting. Some sections may include stairs and uneven stone paths. Nonresidents of Pound Ridge: $10. The cost of lunch will be billed individually to all patrons and is to be paid directly to the restaurant.

“Looking Back, Looking Forward: What’s Important to You?” 1 p.m. at Conant Hall.

Life brings us many changes, some joyful, some challenging. This discussion group led by Family Services of Westchester offers a safe, welcoming space to reflect on where you have been, what you have learned, and what is important to you moving forward. Whether you have experienced loss, loneliness, or just want a place to connect and talk openly, this group invites honest conversation, meaningful stories, and shared support. Join us for thoughtful discussion, personal reflection, and connection with others walking a similar path. This pilot session in Pound Ridge will continue monthly based on interest.


All programs are free unless otherwise indicated. RSVP one week prior to the event. Register on Community Pass, at prseniors@townofpoundridge.gov, or call 914-764-8201. Fees required in advance except for restaurant bills which are to be paid directly to the restaurant.


Conant Hall is located at 257 Westchester Ave., Pound Ridge.
