Richard James Quinn of Katonah died at home on April 16.

Born Oct. 17, 1949, in Brooklyn, he moved to Mount Kisco at the age of 12. He attended Saint Francis and Fox Lane High School. He served in the Marine Corps from 1969 to 1971, and went on to work for New York Telephone in Mount Kisco for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary (née Nicoletti), his sons, Robert (Carmen) and Richard (Adele), three granddaughters, and a nephew and niece.

Quinn’s family said he had a lifelong love of sports and was especially passionate about coaching youth baseball. In his later years, he dedicated his time and energy to supporting Toys for Tots, a cause close to his heart.

The family said memorial contributions may be made to the Bedford Hills Katonah Volunteer Corps “in gratitude for their unwavering support of our family and their compassionate presence with Richard through his final moments” at kbhvac.org.
