Tuesday, July 1
9:32 a.m. — Pound Ridge firefighters provided a lift assist on High Ridge Road.
4:15 p.m. — Police removed debris from the roadway on Pine Brook Road after wires came down. The utility was notified.
9:33 p.m. — A driver on Salem Road was given a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign.
10:43 p.m. — A driver on Westchester Avenue was given a summons for failure to stop at a stop sign.
Wednesday, July 2
12:35 a.m. — A large tree was reported blocking Doe View Lane. Police notified the highway department to come and remove it.
7:50 a.m. — A one-car crash on Horseshoe Hill resulted in no injury and no tow.
8:35 a.m. — A female, age and condition unknown, was assisted by New Canaan ambulance crew members but decided not to go to the hospital or receive further medical assistance.
9:38 a.m. — A person on Fancher Road was accused by a neighbor of violating an ordinance regarding use of gas leaf blowers. Police said the complaint was unfounded.
1:30 p.m. — A female, age and condition unknown, was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
8:30 p.m. — A caller on Stone Hill Road reported they had a snake on their deck. A police officer arrived and removed the reptile, which was not harmed.
10:30 p.m. — A driver traveling on Westchester Avenue was given a ticket for speeding, doing 54 in a 30-mph zone.
Thursday, July 3
10:05 a.m. — A male, age and condition unknown, was taken by PRVAC to Northern Westchester Hospital.
6:32 p.m. — A one-car crash on Threshing Rock Road resulted in no injuries and no tow.
7:13 p.m. — A caller on Old Logging Road reported a tree hanging in the roadway, obstructing traffic. The highway department was notified. Traffic did not appear to be obstructed, or at least not for very long.
7:25 p.m. — A fallen tree that struck a house and brought down its wires on Cedar Hill Road brought firefighters to the scene. The utility was notified.
9:09 p.m. — A Barnegat Road caller reported a tree blocking the roadway. The highway department was notified to remove it.
Friday, July 4
12:40 a.m. — Police looked for a suspicious vehicle reported by a caller on Cross Pond Road but couldn’t locate it.
8:55 p.m. — A barking dog creating a nuisance for a caller on South Bedford Road was hushed after police went to the dog’s home and spoke to the owner, who brought the dog inside the house.
9:14 p.m — A female, age and condition unknown, was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by PRVAC.
10:05 p.m. — Fireworks reported on Gorge Lane were not heard or located by police responding to a complaint.
Saturday, July 5
3:15 p.m. — A tree reported blocking the roadway on Westchester Avenue was scheduled to be removed by the highway department.
7:20 p.m. — A suspicious vehicle reported on MacLean Drive police say was a bus. They spoke to the operator who said they were waiting for a scheduled pickup.
Monday, July 7
9:15 a.m. — A female, age and condition unknown, was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by PRVAC.
12:25 p.m. — A male, age and condition unknown, was taken by PRVAC to Northern Westchester Hospital.
2:50 p.m. — Wires were reported down on Upper Shad Road. The utility was notified.
3:20 p.m. — A person who locked themselves out of their Lower Trinity Pass Road house was assisted by police who gained entry for them.
Tuesday, July 8
10:18 p.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported on High Ridge Road. The caller said an unknown car entered her driveway 20 minutes earlier but it was gone.
11:00 p.m. — Multiple traffic summonses were issued to a driver on Westchester Avenue including a speeding ticket for going 60 mph in a 30-mph zone, no inspection sticker, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to signal from a parked position.
