The Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps in partnership with the Lewisboro Library, is offering a free CPR Workshop for Bystanders on Wednesday, April 23, at the Lewisboro Library. The workshop will be led by Michael Campagna, a New York State-certified EMT, LVAC volunteer, and recipient of the 2024 Captain’s Award for extraordinary service to LVAC and the community.
Designed for individuals with no prior medical experience, this hands-on session will teach participants how to recognize cardiac arrest, perform CPR, save a choking person, and respond confidently in emergencies.
This is a valuable opportunity to gain life-saving skills in a supportive, community-focused environment, according to LVAC.
For registration and more information, visit lewisborolibrary.org. Lewisboro Library is located at 15 Main St., South Salem.
Also, the ambulance corps is teaming up with the South Salem Fire Department for the biannual Community Blood Drive, part of the New York Blood Center initiative, Thursday, April 24, from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the SSFD, located at 1190 Route 35, South Salem.
