Lucille Vigliano, devoted wife and mother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 9, 2025, at age 87, after a long battle with dementia.

Born on September 17, 1937 to Felix and Maddelena Annunziato and raised in the Bronx, she married her beloved husband Edward at age 20 on July 5, 1958. She and her husband initially resided in the Bronx, where she was an accountant and a prolific dancer, having practiced at Carnegie Hall.

They moved for a short time to Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL from 1965-67 for her husband’s required medical training. Still dancing, she took part in the Guys & Dolls production at the base. In 1968, they moved to Queens, NY.  Their next move was up to Bedford, NY as her husband Dr. Edward Vigliano, Sr.  continued his medical practice. Lucille later joined the Potpourri Dancers, an avant-garde modern dance troupe that put on eclectic shows for all ages in the Westchester and Fairfield counties.

In 1987, Lucille and her husband relished the opportunity to move to rural Pound Ridge where her joy of working outdoors came into full fruition. The azaleas were her favorites, with their various colors and different blooming-times. Being an avid gardener, (and an accomplished chef), she was later part of the Bedford Hopp Ground Garden Club, having contributed extensively to their 1997 ‘Perennial Favorites’ Cookbook.

The love of her husband and children surpassed any other endeavor. Her favorite vacation with her family was to shop the cobblestoned streets of Nantucket in the month of August.

Lucille was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Edward Vigliano in 2023 and she is survived by her four children Edward (Carmela), Christine (Phil), James (Huong), and Peter (Connie), and her six grandchildren, Nicholas, John, Erica, Robert, Sophia and Matthew.

Her family will receive friends on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 2:00-5:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Patrick’s Church in Bedford, NY. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 95 Kings Highway, New Rochelle, NY.
