Hazy, lazy summer days

Some summer scenes around Bedford, with the town Summer Camp and the Tri in the Park Youth Triathalon, in which 150 young athletes came to Bedford Hills Memorial Park to learn about the sport of triathlon in a beginner-friendly environment. Furry and feathery friends at the farmstead

Scenes from a recent weekend at Muscoot Farm: Jen Campbell and Jonathon Benjamin hold up a quilt that will be auctioned off at the Muscoot Farm 50th anniversary gala event on Friday, Sept. 12.  The quilt is composed of 15 years of “Run the Farm” race T-shirts; it was custom made and donated by the race organization for the anniversary fundraiser.  Muscoot Farm animals —  chickens, sheep, donkeys, a pony, cows including highland cattle — and a pig. 

Volunteer beekeepers from the West Fair Beekeepers Alliance visit Muscoot at least every two weeks to clean the hives, check on the queens and perform maintenance.

The 25th annual Lewisboro Town Fireworks was held at Onatru Farm Park in South Salem on Saturday, June 29.  There were bouncy castles, food trucks, live entertainment, and many hundreds of picnickers out for a beautiful evening.
