Joel Harry Ruttenberg, 82, of Katonah, an Army veteran who had career in textiles

Joel Harry Ruttenberg, 82, of Katonah, died April 30 at Northern Westchester Hospital.

He was born Oct. 14, 1942, in Washington, D.C., to the late Stanley and Gertrude Ruttenberg. He served in the Army Reserve for six years.

Ruttenberg was a graduate of Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn., receiving his Bachelor of Arts in economics. He worked for textiles companies in Manhattan until his retirement in 2008.

Ruttenberg is survived by his wife, Sophie (Cygan,) and son, Alex (Deborah) of Alexandria, Va., and stepson Guy Pajor, of Jacksonville, Fla. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Ruttenberg and brother, Charles Ruttenberg, as well as grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive guests Saturday, May 10, at 11:30 a.m., at Clark Associates Funeral Home, located at 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah.
