Jane C. Rae

Jane C. Rae, who had been a biology teacher at Turn of River Middle School in Stamford, Conn., died Friday, July 11. She was 89.

Born in September 1935, she attended the Walnut Hill School and graduated from Wellesley College in 1957. She lived in Cross River for 57 years.

Her family said she was a passionate person, accomplished in many pursuits. She was an avid rider of Morgan horses, a devout gardener, and a breeder of champion German shorthair pointers. 

Rae is survived by her three children, Jennifer, Heather and James.
