Fox Lane skater wins bronze at world championships

Skyliners team placed second in the short program and third in the long program.

Fox Lane junior Diane Balkovski won bronze at Junior World Synchronized Figure Skating Championships in Gothenborg, Sweden.

Fox Lane junior Diane Balkovski and her Skyliners Junior team recently enjoyed a trip to the Junior World Synchronized Figure Skating Championships in Gothenborg, Sweden, and came home with the bronze medal. The team placed second in the short program and third in the long program—just 0.6 points behind the Silver medalists from Finland. A week earlier, Skyliners Junior also won silver at the National Synchronized Figure Skating Championship in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jayne Kim and Zirui Song, both of Mount Kisco, were among the 20 team members on the roster for Skyliners Junior, which trains out of Fairfield, CT.
