Faith Ann Bleasdale of Katonah dies at 93

Faith Ann Bleasdale of Katonah died June 23 with her family by her side. She was 93.

Bleasdale was born April 9, 1933, in Woodlawn, N.Y., one of six siblings. In her high school and college years she excelled in academics and sports, and in her 20s she married Frederick Donald Bleasdale. They raised four children and attended Mass at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church in Katonah. 

Bleasdale participated in book clubs, bible studies, and the Women’s Civic Club of Katonah. Her family said she appreciated music and nature, was a lifelong reader and bridge player, and retired from her job with Triboro Quilt at 83.

She was predeceased by her youngest daughter, Ruth, in 2023, and is survived by her children Lisa Bleasdale, Don Bleasdale and Maria Calidonna, along with 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to a funeral Mass on Saturday, June 27, at noon, at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, located at 55 Valley Road, Katonah, there will be a celebration of life at 4 Douglas Drive, Katonah, on Friday, July 10, at 3 p.m.
