Eric L.B. Breuning, built bridges, drove school buses

Eric L.B. Breuning died May 16 in Fort Myers, Fla., at the age of 84.Born on Dec. 10, 1941, he grew up in New York and graduated from Pleasantville School District.
Breuning was a Navy vet who played soccer during his enlistment in Europe. He also was a machinist for major organizations and helped create models for projects including the Empire State Plaza in Albany and the Lunar Landing Vehicle. He later became a dockbuilder and helped build the Tappan Zee and Newburgh-Beacon bridges.
After retirement and a life of volunteering in his community, he drove buses for the Katonah-Lewisboro School District.
Breuning is survived by his wife, a son, two daughters, two sisters, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
