CD-17: Lawler concedes to Conley

Republican Rep. Mike Lawler has conceded the election to late Tuesday to Democratic challenger Cait Conley in New York's 17th Congressional District.

Conley gave his concession speech in Pearl River at 10:58 p.m., after results from Weschester County began piling up, overtaking narrow margins in Lawler’s favor from Rockland, Dutchess and Putnam counties.

Around 11 p.m., Conley was leading 53 to 47 percent.
