The month of June brought an exciting start for local pet lovers with two specials events. On June 1, Bedford Barks brought together a community of dog owners and pet service providers. Hosted by Destination 39.3 in Bedford Village Memorial Park, the program included enclosed areas for dogs of all sizes to mingle, a special agility course to test their skills and an adoption center from SPCA of Westchester.
On June 2, the eighth annual Blessing of the Animals hosted by Lewisboro Land Trust took place at Old Field Preserve Meditation Garden in South Salem. Presided over by Danny Martin, the 25-minute ceremony included stories, music and songs.
