The Bedford Audubon Society is “Celebrating Birds Across the Americas” at its second photo exhibit featuring images of birds photographed by Bedford Audubon members. The show opens Saturday, April 5, at the Katonah Village Library and runs until April 30.
The exhibit will showcase a variety of birds that span across North, Central, and South America; some are resident species of these areas while others are migratory.
“These stunning images show us how birds travel the hemisphere, knowing no borders,” Audubon President John Hannan said, “and they remind us if we want to continue to enjoy their natural beauty, we must support conservation efforts across the Americas.”
A panel of two Bedford Audubon members who are avid bird photographers themselves curated the show. The images will be displayed in either a General Exhibit, Hummingbird Section, or as part of a collage reflecting the theme “Wild & Wacky Birds from Central and South America.” In all, the exhibition features 58 photographs, representing 56 bird species, skillfully captured by 22 photographers.
The exhibit is in the Garden Room on the lower level of the library located at 26 Bedford Road, Katonah. It can be viewed during the library’s regular business hours. Photographs will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting Bedford Audubon, a nonprofit organization.
