Barry Ernest Long, 84, a corporate real estate attorney and longtime member of the Pound Ridge Community Church, died March 3 at his home in Norwalk, Conn., surrounded by family.
Long was born in Providence, R.I., son of the late Ernest John Long and the late Elizabeth Fiske Long. He graduated from Colby College and Cornell Law School. Long worked as a corporate real estate attorney at Cuddy & Feder LLP for over 40 years.
His family said he enjoyed vacationing in Cape Cod, Mass., skiing, and spending time with his children. He was strongly devoted to his family. For many years he was a member of the Pound Ridge Community Church, serving in numerous ways, and a gracious benefactor to many charities.
Long is survived by his children, Jason Winsor Long and Caroline Malinda Long, and his former wife, Carole Kruse Long. He is also survived by his siblings, Sydney Machon, Marc Long, Julie Kostes, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other family members. He was predeceased by his sister, Alyson Mack. A private memorial service has been planned.
